Following extensive water ingress issues to a recently built residential block CAN was asked to undertake an inspection of facia cladding panels, substrate and fixing detail.
CAN technicians used standard industrial rope access techniques to access the façades of the building. Following an initial water ingress investigation extensive remedial works were specified including the removal of the bottom row of cladding tiles from each ‘panel’ to the external elevations. Existing tile fixing brackets were removed and repositioned at a slightly higher level so that tiles could be refitted correctly and thereby create a water tight seal.
All the remedial works required to this extensive structure were completed with minimal disruption to residents and other concerned parties.
