Working with Musco Lighting Europe Ltd for 7 weeks at Emirates Stadium
CAN installed a new LED lighting system throughout Emirates Stadium, overcoming restricted access to complete the project without impacting the pitch. Specialist access solutions enabled the work to be carried out safely and efficiently across the stadium’s roof structure.
CAN was requested to undertake the installation of new LED lighting throughout the Emirates Stadium. Pitch access was not permitted and the limited space available between the pitch and stands negated the use of MEWPs.
Using a combination of standard industrial rope access techniques, aid climbing on the roof trusses and CAN-Span work positioning platforms, CAN technicians were able to access all the required locations and complete the installation of 112 units to the roof soffit and 148 units to the leading edge of the roof. Having installed the soffit lights, the power cables were dressed back along the roof purlins to the roof-mounted control boxes.
