Health, Safety, Quality & Environment

When carrying out high-risk work health, safety, quality and compliance must be at the heart of everything.

Health and Wellbeing

Protecting our people means looking beyond immediate site safety.

We take a proactive approach to occupational health, considering factors such as exposure to dust, noise, vibration and other workplace hazards. Where appropriate, we set internal exposure limits below the relevant legal Workplace Exposure Limits to provide an additional level of protection for our teams.

We also recognise the importance of mental health and wellbeing. Our dedicated Mental Health Officer and team of Mental Health First Aiders are on hand to provide support and a point of contact for colleagues who may need someone to talk to.

Quality

Quality is built into how we plan and deliver our work.

From selecting appropriate materials and equipment to rigorous equipment testing, inspection, documentation and project close-out, we maintain processes designed to ensure work is completed to the required specification and standard.

Our equipment is regularly tested and inspected by our stores teams at both our Chesterfield and London sites to ensure it remains fit for purpose and safe for our teams to use.

Our ISO 9001 certification supports this approach and provides a framework for continual improvement.

Compliance

By keeping our qualifications, accreditations and training up to date, we ensure all projects go smoothly. Whether it’s working in busy cities, along active railway lines, inside power stations or other high-risk locations, we’ve got the experience you need to be sure that you’ve put your trust in the right place.

We ensure to uphold the highest rope access safety standards, keeping best practice and only the safest working practices operating on our sites.

Our Staff

Our staff make us stronger, and keeping them safe allows us to keep on top of the jobs at hand.

We employ IRATA-certified personnel, from level 1 to level 3, to carry out our rope access works. We ensure training remains consistent and up-to-date, giving you peace of mind that those on-site are some of the best, and you can count on them to get the job done safely and efficiently.

HSQE throughout project delivery

Our approach to HSQE starts before work begins.

We assess the specific risks, requirements and constraints of each project; there is no blanket approach. We develop the appropriate controls, documentation and working methods before our teams arrive on site.

During project delivery, our site teams are supported by operational and HSQE personnel who monitor performance, address any issues that may arise and ensure our standards are maintained throughout the project.

Environment

We regularly work in environmentally sensitive areas, so protecting the environment is an important consideration in how we plan and deliver our work. Our priority is to minimise our impact, protect the environments in which we operate and, wherever possible, leave them in a better condition than we found them.

We have rigorous procedures in place for waste management and environmental control throughout our projects, helping our teams identify and manage potential impacts from the outset.

We also link our NMPI reporting with our tree planting initiative, encouraging a more proactive approach to HSQE. For every NMPI reported, we plant one tree through Just One Tree. As of July 2026, this has resulted in 559 trees being planted, which are expected to absorb approximately 172.17 tonnes of CO₂ as they grow.
