Introduction
Rock bolts and dowels are fundamental to many cliff stabilisation projects, offering a cost effective means of retaining failing rock masses in situ, usually by anchoring steel or GRP tendons into more stable substrate using cementitious grout or resin.
CAN's Capabilities
CAN has a full range of drilling systems available, including drifter, DTH, auger and ODS. CAN installs rock bolts and dowels cost effectively into a wide variety of ground conditions. The innovative and flexible drill mounting systems developed in-house enable work to be completed efficiently, using mechanisation wherever possible, but reverting to bespoke A-frame rigs on the steepest and highest faces.
Quality assurance is never compromised, using portable stressing and measurement systems adpated to work in the most challenging environments.
