CAN Geotechnical

Introduction

Anchoring is typically adopted where more significant restraining forces are required to stabilise large rock masses or structures, and where the failure of an anchor is considered unacceptable. Permanent anchors demand high levels of corrosion protection and a stringent testing regime prior to imparting the design load into each tendon.

CAN's Capabilities

CAN installs both monobar and mulitstrand anchors, whilst our plant and equipment has been developed to enable this work to be carried out in almost any location. In badly voided ground, measures such as grout sock and polymer modified grouts are used to limit grout losses. Portable pneumatic/hydraulic power packs allow CAN to carry out cyclic testing efficiently on large cliffs.
